Invisalign clear braces are clear aligners that come in a package that includes several trays that will last over some time, one aligner is used at a time then disposed of to continue to the next set of aligners. Aligner Therapy has created its blend of plastic and manufactured aligners within their facility, they use the molds that were taken at the dentist clinic of your mouth to create the clear aligners that will be used to straighten your teeth. These clear aligners are created with a strong piece of solid plastic to put a certain amount of pressure on specific points of the teeth to gradually move the teeth into a straighter position.
Invisalign clear braces will need a consultation appointment booked with one of our professional medical dentists before Aligner Therapy (Invisalign) clear braces can be ordered. During your consultation appointment, we will review the health of your mouth, your smile, and take impressions that are considered molds of your teeth to send to Invisalign’s warehouse to create a custom fit specific to your teeth of clear aligners. A treatment plan will be put in place as a recommendation and will be used as your main point of contact for your teeth results.
As stated previously, Invisalign clear braces will be completed within a series of trays which will be replaced depending on your treatment plan on an average of 1 to 2 weeks. Each replacement clear aligners tray will feel tighter and provide more pressure on the teeth. This is done to shift and with your teeth into position to see a brighter, straighter smile.
Many of our patients have opted to wear Aligner Therapy (Invisalign) clear braces over traditional braces, as they not only provide the option to straighten your teeth, but also provide the ability to do it without the look of traditional braces. Aligner Therapy (Invisalign) can be used for several purposes, not just to straighten a patient’s teeth. Some of the dental issues that Invisalign is used to treat include:
– Forms of crossbite, underbite, and overbite
– Gapped teeth
– Crowding issues
– Spacing
– Open bite
– Straightening
At Real Smile Dentistry, we create the impression of your teeth and use that impression to create a dental plan that will put pressure on the teeth to move into their appropriate positions. Once we receive the aligners back from the Invisalign warehouse, we will have the patient back in for an appointment to check the fit of the aligners, and go over the treatment plan again, including how to wear them. Your treatment plan is dependent on the progress we see with your teeth, whether the new trays of aligners will be given, or if you need to wear your current aligners a bit longer.
Invisalign clear aligners are quite easy to clean, especially compared to traditional braces. Start by finding a temperature of water to run your aligners under that is lukewarm, this way you can run the aligner under the water without deforming them.
Use a soft-bristled toothbrush with toothpaste and begin brushing your aligners on the inside and out. You should be brushing your aligners as much as you brush your teeth. This will keep the clear Invisalign aligners clean and taken care of.
At some point, you may notice stains appearing on the Invisalign aligners from coffee or tea. You can remove stains in one of four ways:
1. Hydrogen peroxide and water
2. Soap and water
3. Baking Soda
4. Vinegar and water
For each method, in a small bowl, mix the solutions and let the Invisalign clear aligner soak overnight. The next day remove any buildup by brushing gently with a toothbrush. If the first tip doesn’t work, continue to do the rest letting soak in the vinegar in water for at least 30 minutes. We serve patients from Miami Beach FL, Greater Miami FL, Midtown FL, Miami Shores FL, Aventura FL, Wynwood FL, Little Haiti FL, Dodge Island FL, North Miami FL, and Pinewood FL.
